The 'Save Me In Your Dreams' Collection

This collection is the result of my preoccupation and experimentation with the 5000- year-old Jiroft culture (which identifies an early Bronze Age in Southeastern territories of Iran). The exhibited pieces enable the connection between the mental and physical spaces and show how, despite temporal and spatial distances, humans can share common visual expressions and achieve global cultural unity via the very fabric that weaves them together.

My choice of fabric as the main medium for the collection has resulted in a wider range of forms and artistic expressions. I chose fabric due its flexibility, organic nature and abundance (especially with Iran’s large textile industry), which helped generate myriad creative possibilities.
