The ‘Blue Mirror’ Collection

‘Blue Mirror’ came to life over three years. This collection of paintings combines different techniques and materials, especially acrylic, ecoline inks and mixed media. The use of ecoline liquid watercolour helps me create distinctive textures and forms, but also unique spaces in my paintings where I can express myself most visually.

Fish have always been the symbol of life and freedom for me. I sometimes imagine them in the blue sky or the sea and sometimes envision a blue mirror drowning me in its boundless blue. Inspired by this imaginative world, I have created this collection that represents my reunion with the mirror.

My paintings in 'The Blue Mirror' display different textures and colours, but also have unconventional canvas forms; some appear in a triptych format and some in the shape of an irregular quadrilateral.

One triptych from this collection, purchased by Iranian Artists' Forum, is in a permanent exhibition there.
